Co.operative is a collaborative music project by a group of singers in Chicago.
We've sung in choirs and jazz bands, in the shower and in church. We are writers and performers, activists and employees, teachers and students.
Over the coming year, we invite you to watch us conceive, compose, and produce an album-length original work.
We'll show you our work as we create it and our process as we design it, from sketch to finished product.
Along the way we'll learn about collaboration, about ourselves, and about each other.
We hope you'll join us.
Co.operative is partially supported by an Individual Artist Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events, as well as a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, a state agency through federal funds provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Co.operative is a community partner of the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago for the 2020-2021 season.
